Obituary

Sonny Gene Parker, 46, of Calhoun, Georgia died Friday, May 6, 2022, after a sudden illness. He was born on May 28, 1975, in Pickens County, Georgia to Carolyn Young Parker and the late Jackie Gene Parker.

Sonny was employed by Horner Construction. He was a loving son, brother, father, pop pop, and friend.

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Young Parker; daughters, Aundrea Dutton, Celeste Parker, and Chandra Parker; life partner, Natalie Parker; bonus kids, Cheyenne Childers and Bo Childers; brother and sister-in-law, Brent and B.J. Parker; Niece, Chelsey Parker; grandchildren, Paris Dutton, Lane Dutton, and Adaleigh Henderson; bonus grandchildren, Mattie Grace, Cutter, and Cilas.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral will be conducted on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 3:00 pm at New Hope Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers are, Martin Horner, Brent Holden, Trevor Henderson, Brian Bradshaw, Darrell Bradshaw, and Brandon Bradshaw.
