Marlin L. Kauffman, 81, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022.He was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on February 9, 1941, to the late Melvin and E. Erma Kennel Kauffman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan E. Shenk Kauffman; and son, Bradford Kauffman.
Marlin graduated with a degree in forestry from Penn State University. He was a master craftsman, outdoorsman, and gardener.
Marlin gave his life to the ministry and pastored his first church, Harvest Christian Center for seven years in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He later founded and served as the pastor of Word of Life Church in Calhoun for 20 years. Marlin loved the Lord and people with all of his heart. His greatest heritage, pride, and joy was his family - the wife he cherished, and his eight children.
Marlin is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Leigh and Jan Hjaltalin, Shay and Jerry Walker, Joni and Gilbert Logatto, Rebecca and Robert Clark, Elizabeth and Adam Panepinto, Emily and Greg Bailey, Ami and Nathaniel Phillips; daughter-in-law, Nikki Kauffman; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Pat Kauffman, Glen and Jana Kauffman; sister and brother-in-law, Regina and Victor Chaney; grandchildren, Caleb, Carly, Hunter, Anna, Kate, Joy, Emma, Gilbert, David, Jonathan, Christopher, Benjamin, Eli, and Amilia.
The family will receive friends Saturday, May 7, 2022, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
A memorial service will follow the visitation on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
