Jerry Rayburn “Bird Dog” Hall, 82, of Calhoun, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at his residence.
Mr. Hall was born on March 31, 1939 in Gordon County. He was the son of the late Claude Thomas Hall and Dessie Cooper Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Willie D. Hall; two sisters, Edna Hall and Eddis Hall West. He was a member of Calhoun Community Church. During his lifetime he worked for Big Star and Arrow Hand Exterminating.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nancy Hyde Hall; Daughter, Tara Hall Murphy and her husband Nathan; Sons; Reginald Hall and his wife Cheryl, Russell Hall and his wife Cindy. Grandchildren; Daylan Hall (Courtney), Macy Hall, Logan Hall (Keri Ann), Mackenzie Hall, Lex Murphy, and Pax Murphy.
The Family of Jerry “Bird Dog” Hall will receive friends on Thursday, November 18th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. and on Friday, November 19th from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour of 1:00 PM1:00 PM. at Calhoun Community Church. Pastor Jerry Rice officiating. The body will lie in state from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Herbert Silvers, Gary Silvers, Jamie Hyde, Brent Hyde, Sterling Hyde, and J Bell.
