Obituary

Jeffery Wayne Burkhart, 62, of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. He was born in Harlan, Kentucky, to the late Virgil Burkhart and Wilma Jean McMillan Burkhart.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy (Barbara) Burkhart and Mark (Brandi) Burkhart; nieces, Kristen Burkhart and Kimberly Burkhart; nephews, Vergil Burkhart and Jeffery Burkhart; great-nieces, Emma Burkhart, Bailey Burkhart, Braelynn Rice, Brooklyn Rice, Kinsley Hammonds, Sarah Hammonds, and Paisley Hammonds; great-nephews, Carter Burkhart and Connor Burkhart; life partner, Victoria Smith; step daughter, Angel Smith; step son, Troy Smith; granddaughters, Makayla, Jasmin, and Savannah Gallagher, and Aubree and Millie Smith.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 19, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral will be conducted on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Pastor Tim Reid officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery.
