Mr. James Stanton Tatum, 83, of Ranger, Georgia passed away at his residence on August 28, 2022.
Mr. Tatum was born in Gordon County, Georgia on August 17, 1939, the son of the late Leon Tatum and Pauline Wyatt Tatum. He was a graduate of Fairmount High School and prior to retirement, he was employed by Bostick Incorporated. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Tiffany Brookes Owens and Anthony Mills; a sister, Nellie Silvers and a brother, Raymond Tatum. Mr. Tatum loved his family and enjoyed working outdoors.
Survivors include his loving wife, Sandra Juanita Coggins Tatum to whom he was married for 62 years; two daughters, Tammy (Wesley) Owens and Tina Jackson; three sons, Terry (Edna) Tatum, Dale (Autumn) Tatum, and Kevin Tatum; grandchildren, Amy Jackson, Brandon Owens, Beth Marsh, Heather Tatum and Marena Gross; great-grandchildren, Tatum Gross, Rynlee Gross, Chelsey Thomas, Colton Thomas, and Colbie Thomas; two sisters, WilleenYoung, Marcell (Johnny) Elrod,; brothers, Gordon Lee (Dolly) Tatum, Ed (Stella) Tatum, Leonard (Judy) Tatum, David (Paula) Tatum and Tony (Judy) Tatum; nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. James Stanton Tatum will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Dutch Scott officiating. Music will be arranged by Lisa Bains. Burial will follow in Campbell Cemetery at Pleasant Hill with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers. Brandon Owens, Ryan Gross Jr., Jeremy Tatum, Phillip Thomas, Ricky Coggins, and Wesley Owens.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 30th at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home between the hours of 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour of 2:00 PM.
