Mr. Gregory Carl (Greg) Lemming, 63, of Calhoun, died Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Chattanooga Hospice Care following a sudden stroke.
Mr. Lemming was born in Floyd County, Georgia on December 7, 1957, the son of Margie Lemming and the late Carl Eugene Lemming. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Ryan Lemming in 2016.
Greg was employed by American Carpet Wholesalers in Dalton for the past seven years, prior to that he was employed with Dalton Police Department, Calhoun Police Department, Whitfield County Sherriff’s Department, and Carpets of Dalton. He was a member of the 1975 graduating class of Calhoun High School where he participated in Track and Tennis. He received his degree in Criminal Justice from Brenau University.
Survivors include his daughter, Heather Lemming Black; grandchildren, Bailee-Anne Black and Breck Black; mother, Margie Lemming, Brother and sister-in-law, Brad and Beth Lemming; aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives also survive.
It was Greg’s wish to be cremated and no formal service will be held.
