Obituary

Mr. Gary William Ralston, 62 of Calhoun, died Wednesday, February 5th, 2020.

Gary was born in Chatsworth, Georgia on June 19, 1957, son of the late Charlie Ralston and Adeline Thompson Ralston. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Charlsie Ralston, he was a graduate of Fairmount High School, class of 1975. He and his wife Vivian, for many years owned and operated Ralston’s Corner Convenience Store at Oakman and prior to his retirement he was employed by O’Reilly Auto Parts as paint technician.

Survivors include his wife, Vivian Hightower Ralston, daughter, Lacie Ralston and Thomas York of Sugar Valley, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Lucas and Angie Ralston of Seattle, Washington; brother, Keith Ralston; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Barbara Hightower, Randall Hightower and Helen Henson;many other relatives and friends also survive. 

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home on Sunday, February 9th, between the hours of 2:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Following the visitation, it was Gary’s wish to be cremated.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, 5582 Peachtree Road, Chamblee, GA. 30341 or the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016, in Gary’s memory.
