Obituary

Donald Eugene Hales, 65, of Resaca, Georgia died Thursday, May 19, 2022, after a sudden illness. He was born on April 8, 1957, in Calhoun, Georgia to the late Travis Eugene and Bessie Stanfield Hales.

Donald was a truck driver for GA Mountain Logging.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Scarlett Hales; daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Derrick Bussey; grandchildren, Joshua Hales, Jaycee Hales, Justin Hales, Tyler Barnhart (Kimber), and Chase Barnhart (Gwendolyn); great grandchildren, Jaxon Barnhart, Lilly Barnhart, and Kade Barnhart.

To honor his wishes his body was cremated, and a memorial service will be held Sunday, May 22, 2022, at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Earnest Channell officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the service hour. Honorary pallbearers are, Joshua Hales, Justin Hales, Chase Barnhart, and Tyler Barnhart.
