Obituary

Connor Luke Hayes, 6, of the Sonoraville Community, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 5, 2015 to Brandi and Chad Hayes. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Alton and Mary Ruth Burchett, Walker and Mamie Hayes, Buster and Lorine Settle, and John W. Holtman Sr.

Connor Luke Hayes was an intelligent, fun-loving, care-free spirit who wasn’t afraid to speak his mind. He was an old-soul, mature beyond his years. He loved big and always wanted to give to others. He loved the Lord, his church, his family, his big brother and his cousins. He loved Notre Dame football, the Sonoraville Phoenix, John Deere Gator rides, swimming, playing in the dirt, swinging and baseball. He was a light and inspiration to all who crossed his path and those who followed his story. CLStrong Forever! 

Along with his parents, Connor Luke is survived by his big brother, Bentley Clay Hayes; his grandparents, Clyde and Phyllis Hayes, Ronnie and Debbie Holtman; his great-grandmother, Ruth Holtman, aunts and uncles, Clint and Jenny Hayes, Kristie and Billy Wilson, Amanda and Jason Farmer; his cousins, Lily Hayes, Esther Hayes, Noah Wilson, and Ethan Farmer. Many other special family members and friends survive.

The visitation will be held Friday, July 23, 2021 at Sonoraville Baptist Church from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM. A private graveside service will follow in Sonoraville Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jason Farmer, Clint Hayes, and Billy Wilson.

To continue his legacy, the family has asked that donations be made to the CL Strong Foundation c/o North Georgia National Bank, 350 W Belmont Dr. Calhoun, GA 30701.

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
