Obituary

Mr. Zachary Harold Lee Quarles, 37, of Calhoun died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at his residence.
He was born on April 22, 1985, in Gordon County, Georgia, the son of Steven and Aletae Patterson Quarles. He was a member of the 2004 graduating class of Gordon Central High School.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Rev. Harold and Mable Quarles and Walter and Bettye W. Patterson; aunt, Darlene Quarles; two cousins, DeShae and Shadaia Turner.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Shelley Holsomback and her husband Jay; a brother, Ross Quarles and his wife Katie; step-daughters, Holley and Alli Long; nieces, Ansleigh and Ambree Quarles; nephew, Bryson Parker; aunts, Donna Hightower and Alisha Parker; uncles, Greg (Shannon) Patterson and Scott Patterson along with other aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Zachary Harold Lee Quarles will be conducted Friday at 3:00 PM from Boone Ford Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Quarles, Rev. Steve McDougle, and Rev. Walter Bohannon. Burial will follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. A.J. Waters officiating. Pallbearers serving include, Nathan Parker, Timothy Quarles, Matt Webb, Robert Black, Chad Bohannon, Bryson Parker, Mike Duvall, and Trey Bentley. Honorary pallbearers include Joel Garland, Tammy Halliday, Jerri McDougle, Robin Bohannon, Janet Bohannon, Nancy Pratt, Cindy Evans, and Renna Isham.
The family will receive friends at Boone Ford Baptist Church Thursday, September 22nd between the hours of 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM, and on Friday, September 23rd, from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour of 3:00 PM.
