Willis Alonzo Adcock

Mr. Willis Alonzo (W.A.) Adcock, age 63 of Calhoun, died Friday, August 31, 2007 at Gordon Hospital following a heart attack.

Mr. Adcock was born on October 02, 1943 in Floyd County, son of the late Paul and Elma Aileen Chatmon Adcock. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Adcock. Mr. Adcock was a veteran of the United States Army, and retired from the trucking industry as a mechanic.

Mr. Adcock is survived by his wife, Yvonne Chappell Adcock of the home; one daughter, Lora Allmon and her husband, Willie of Adairsville; one son, Leslie Adcock and his wife Miranda of Calhoun; two stepdaughters, Rosemary Franklin and her husband Heath of Dalton, and Serena Lanier and her husband, Roy of Nashville, Georgia: one stepson, Charlie Wright of Calhoun; grandchildren; Austin Adcock, Allison Adcock, LaVonda Gravley, Shanna Jones, Lonna Allmon, Andrea Allmon, Shealenna Lynch, Wesley Wright, Bruce Wright and Nathan Wright; one brother, Ricky Adcock of Fairmount; stepfather, Vernon West and stepmother, Virginia Adcock; and a special friend, Susie Adcock.

Graveside rites with military honors will be conducted Wednesday at 12:00 noon at the Georgia National Cemetery.
