William Howard Strickland

William Howard Strickland, 70, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025. He was born in Ellijay, Georgia, on June 2, 1954, to the late William and Anette Strickland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Strickland; brothers, Paul Strickland, Ronnie Strickland, Martin Gentry; sister, Gail Ghorley; brother-in-law, David Caudle.

He is survived by his wife, Idema Strickland; sons, Jimmy (Susan) McRee, Robert (Elizabeth Darling) Strickland; brother, Gary Strickland; sister, Debbie Caudle; sisters-in-law, Ramona Strickland, Sherry Strickland; brother-in-law, Clarence Ghorley; grandchildren, Landon Strickland, Gracie Strickland, Elaina Strickland, Ethan McRee; nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

William was a simple man. He loved his animals and spending time with his family,

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating.
