William Danny Helms

William Danny Helms, 72, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. He was born in Geneva, Alabama, on March 18, 1954, to the late Jimmy and Eloise Helms. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Helms; brother, Jerry Helms; sisters, Patricia “Mrs. Pat” (Art) Lee, Diane Helms West, Becky Cornett.

He is survived by his son, David (Mary) Lovell; daughters, Mary Beth Lovell, Jennifer (Tim) Hinds; brother, David (Bonnie) Cornett; sister, Sandra Matthews; brother-in-law, Randy West; sister-in-law, Carol Helms; grandchildren, Kendrick, Aurora, John, Amber, and Ashley; great-grandson, Charlie; special friend, Laverne Wells.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM from Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Kendrick Hinds, Tim Hinds, John Keeney, Dave Lovell, Cody Walston, and Kevin McCalley.
