Obituary

William "Gary" Knowles, 63, of Calhoun, passed away early on Saturday, February 12, 2022, from a heart attack.
Gary was born in Rome, Georgia on April 20, 1958, son of Shirley Cagle Knowles and the late Bill Knowles. He was a member of the 1977 graduating class of Red Bud High School and was employed by Mohawk Industries in the maintenance department. He loved his family dearly and never said no to a friend calling and needing his help. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and co-workers.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Bramlett Knowles to whom he was married for 41 years; daughters, Kristy Wilson and her husband Harley, Jeannie Gallman and her husband Alan; mother, Shirley Cagle Knowles; grandchildren, Beth Gallman (J.D. Zapp), Will Gallman (Mallory Green), Jaxon Wilson and, Cohen Wilson; great-grandson, Cason Land; sister, Becky Young; brother, Keith Knowles and his wife Cindy; mother-in-law, Gladys Bramlett.
The funeral service for Gary Knowles will be held Monday, February 14th at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Eddie Brannon officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery with Rev. Herschel Pierce officiating at the graveside service. Pallbearers serving include, Tommy Silvers, Joe Silvers, Keith Knowles, Larry Bramlett, Brian Young, Josh Stone, Steve Silvers, and Willard Edwards.
The family will receive friends Sunday, February 13th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home and on Monday, from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour of 1:00 PM.
