William "Boyd" Chastain

William “Boyd” Chastain, 66, of Fairmount, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023.

He was born on September 18, 1956, to the late Monroe and Mollie Mae Chastain. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Pierce; and brothers-in-law, James Fowler and Tony Parker.

Boyd is survived by his brothers and sister-in-law, Stephen and Linda Chastain, Daniel and Tammy Chastain; sisters and brother-in-law, Elaine Fowler, Willine and Butch Young, and Patsy Parker; special niece, Morgan Young; and other nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at 2:00 PM from Pleasant Grove Ryo Baptist Church with Rev. Reggie Temples and Rev. Jeremy Southers officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Ryo Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ritchie Pierce, Ricky Pierce, Jason Chastain, Ellis Payne, Matt Payne, Johnny Young, and Shawn Viet.

 His body will lie in state prior to the service on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
