Will Cliff Gallman

Mr. Will C. "Hawkeye" Gallman, age 79 of Calhoun, died Thursday July 12, 2007 in Gordon Hospital, following two months illness.

Mr. Gallman was born in Murray County, GA on September 20, 1927, son of the late Vick and Fannie Bailey Gallman. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II, having received the World War II Victory Medal along with other commendations. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Gold Kist Mills.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Ross, Hubert, J.T., Albert and Edd Gallman and by six sisters, Essie Gallman, Margaret Gallman, Edna Gallman, Mae Gallman, Syble Gallman and Glenner McGinnis.

Mr. Gallman was a member of the Resaca Assembly of God, American Legion and VFW.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Cothran Gallman; two children by marriage; Donna Roland and her husband Mitch of Calhoun, and Thomas Brown of Calhoun; one grandson; Houston Long; one great granddaughter, Allyson Long; and three grandchildren by marriage; Shelly, Lauren and Christina.

Funeral services for Mr. Will C. "Hawkeye" Gallman will be held Saturday July 14th at 2:00 PM, from the Chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Jimmy Timms officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery with Eddie Brannon conducting the graveside service, followed with Military Honors. Mrs. Betty Fair will have charge of the music. Pallbearers serving will include Houston Long, Donald Gallman, Dusty Lavaliee, Bobby Cothran, Ricky Garrett and Eddie Lavaliee. Honorary pallbearers will include Ron Church, Buddy Davis, Harold Cothran, Gene McBee and Mitch Roland.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday after 5:00 PM.
