Mr. Wayne Lee Coleman age 46 of Chatsworth passed away Saturday September 9, 2006 at Redmond Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

Mr. Coleman was born in Dalton, Georgia on January 2, 1960; son of Maxine Coleman and the late Clarence W. Coleman . He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving from 1979 until 1983 during Vietnam and was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Dalton where he served as a Deacon.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-six years Cherri Campbell Coleman of Chatsworth. One son; Jason Coleman and his wife Heather of Mountain Home, Idaho. One daughter; Miranda Townshend and her husband Noah of Calhoun. Mother Maxine Tankersley Coleman of Calhoun. Three brothers; David, Roger and Allen Coleman and two sisters Linda White and Kathy Blackman. Two grandchildren Emily Townshend and David Miller, nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws also survive.

Funeral Services for Wayne Lee Coleman will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. from the Friendship Baptist Church in Dalton with Rev. William Painter and Rev. John Dorsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Mobile Baptist Church Cemetery in McCaysville, GA with military honors. Active pallbearers serving will include Daryl Tankersley, Shawn Duckett, Jimmy Jones, Jerry Helms, James Painter and Craig Kirby. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Monday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to the Wayne Coleman Memorial Fund at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home at P.O. Box 1027 Calhoun, Georgia 30703.
