Obituary

Wayne Edward McFarland, 72, of Calhoun, GA died May 24, 2021. He was born on April 5, 1949 in Calhoun, GA to the late Roy McFarland and Johnnie Poarch McFarland.
Wayne was very proud to serve his country in the United States Air Force. He was the only son of an only son, but he still volunteered. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Faye Hayes McFarland; sons, Jason (Katie) McFarland and Daren (Carley) McFarland; grandson, Zane McFarland; mother-in-law, Betty Stewart; sister-in-law, Linda York; uncle, Bobby Poarch; nephew, Stuart York; special friends, Jimmy Bowers, Harold Brock, and Richard Head.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be conducted on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 10:30 AM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Burgner and Rev. Steve McDougle officiating. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the United States Air Force. Pallbearers are Stuart York, Austin Williams, Kenneth Hayes, Regan Hayes, Tony Gentry, and David Bowers. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Bowers, Ty Chapman, Justin Williams, Bobby Balliew, and Charles Poarch.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Fishe House Foundation, 12300 Twinbrook Pkwy Suite 410, Rockville, MD 20852 in his memory.
