Walter Holden

Mr. Walter Lee Holden, age 61 of Calhoun, passed away Friday, February 27, 2009 at Wooddale Health Care Center.

Mr. Holden was born on July 9, 1947 in Gordon County, son of Roy Woodrow Holden and Lovell Ruth Crump Holden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Holden. During his lifetime he was employed in the textile industry.

Mr. Holden is survived by three sisters, Peggy Kinsey and Betty German, both of Calhoun, and Diane Hayes of Resaca; four brothers, Woody Holden of Cohutta, Billy Holden of Trenton, Donny Holden of Calhoun, and Ronnie Holden of Dalton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Walter Lee Holden will be conducted Monday at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Harmony Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Sunday, during the hours of 4:00pm and 9:00pm.
