Valerie (Risley) Muse

Valerie (Risley) Muse, 63, of Fairmount, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Valerie was born on July 12^th, 1959, in Edward’s Air Force Base California, to the late Allen and Janice Risley. She attended Brookfield Central School in Brookfield, New York. She enjoyed working with her late husband, David Muse.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Muse; two brothers, Hank Risley and Robert Risley; and a sister, Sherri Chesebro.

Survivors include her daughters, Vanessa (Brian) Crider, Lisa (Tony) Carrillo, Tracy (Chris) Evans; beloved son, David Johnson; three sisters, Debbie (Jerry) Putnam of Booneville, New York, Colleen (Dexter) Dye, and Karen (Kyle) McReynolds; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, at 2:00 PM, from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 12:00 Noon until the service hour at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. David Peeler and Rev. Michael Hunt officiating.
