Mr. Trevor James Fite, 49 of Douglasville, GA died Tuesday, April 25, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Floyd County on June 29, 1967, son of Jerry Fite, and the late Melvelene Brannon Bell. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his son, Andy Mayes.
Trevor worked for Applied Software for more than eight years. He loved his job and his coworkers. Trevor was a huge baseball fan. He enjoyed playing, coaching, and watching baseball any chance he got. He adored his grandchildren, and being a "Framps" was one of his self-declared greatest accomplishments.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Donna Smith Fite; his sons, Mark Mayes and John Mayes; his daughter and son-in-law, Christina and David Blair; a sister, Tracy Pruitt; and grandchildren, Garrett Blair, Pierson Blair, Archer Blair, Savannah Mayes, and Luke Mayes. Other survivors include aunts and uncles, Teresa Stone, Jackie Brannon, Linda Brannon, and Randy Brannon; many cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Trevor James Fite will be held Saturday, April 29th at 2:00 PM from Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (Ryo), with Zack Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Family and friends will meet at the church on Saturday, at 1:30 PM.
