Tonya Marie Whittle

Mrs. Tonya Marie Whittle age 40, of Old Rome Dalton Rd. Calhoun passed away Friday December 15, 2006 at Gordon Hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Knox County, TN on January 4, 1966 and had lived in Cobb County most of her lifetime. She was employed by Mohawk Industries for the past five years and was a member of Sugar Valley Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband Danny Whittle of Calhoun. One son Robert Burch of Loganville, GA. Two step-children; Jessica and Jeremy Whittle both of Paulding County, GA. Mother Carol Kelley of Cobb County, GA. Two sisters; Dawn Caldwell of Dawson County, GA and Sharee Martin of Lagrange, GA. Two brothers; Shane Kelley of Cobb County and Shawn Kelley of Holmen, Wisc. Father-in-law and mother-in-law; Terry and Jane Whittle of Calhoun. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Tonya Marie Whittle will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. from the Sugar Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Mitch Phillips and Rev. Charlie Wysong officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church on Sunday from 1:00p.m. until 2:00p.m. Active pallbearers serving will include Kenneth Wheat, Steve Wheat, Bobby Lofty, Michael Kelley, Shane Kelley, Shawn Kelley, Jimmy Caldwell and Adam Roper. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Sunday at 12:00 noon. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Saturday after 6:00p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asked that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
