Obituary

Mr. Tony Wayne Bryant, 66, of Calhoun, Georgia entered into the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Atrium Floyd Medical Center in Rome, GA. After several months of declining health.
Tony was born in Albertville, Alabama on May 16, 1955, the son of the late James Wesley Bryant and Eulene Carter Bryant. Later he moved to Summerville, GA, and lived there until he made his home in Calhoun. He was employed by Harbison Walker Corporation until a work-related injury led to early retirement. He enjoyed following NASCAR, and American Idol was his favorite television program; he loved his family, especially his grandchildren and he was an active member of the Church of God of the Union Assembly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Marie Bryant in 2020; sons, James Willis Hollingsworth, Christopher Hollingsworth, and Ricky Hollingsworth; sister, Carolyn Lindsey; son-in-law, Levi Nix.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14th at 11:00 AM from the Church of God of the Union Assembly, 4624 Fairmount Highway, Calhoun, Ga 30701. Pastor Denny Gentry will officiate with music being arranged by Nancy Gentry. Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery near Resaca.
Survivors include his daughters, Janice Marie Nix (Kenneth Collins), Tammy Gibbs (Dewayne); son, Jesse Hollinsworth (Vickie); Grandchildren, Joshua, Ashley, Hannah, Ruby, James III, Tina, Tonya, Katelynn, Waynie, Latrissa, Kayla, Christopher, Cody, Rebecca, Jesse, Jessica, Cameron; several great-grandchildren; sister, Kathy Kendrick (Ricky); Brother-in-law, Douglas Lindsey; a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 13th between the hours of 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM at the Church of God of the Union Assembly, 4624 Fairmount Highway, Calhoun, Ga 30701.
