Mr. Tony Leroy Moore, 57, of Calhoun, departed this life on Monday, April 1, 2024, following a period of declining health at AdventHealth-Redmond while surrounded by his loving family and close friends.

Tony was born in Calhoun, Georgia, on July 27, 1966, the son of the late Dyretha Clark and Duane and Beatrice Phipps Moore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Moore, in 2021, and his sister, Nena Hall Jordan, in 2023. He was a member of the 1984 graduating class of Calhoun High School, where he was a member of the Yellow Jacket Football and Wrestling Teams. After high school, he was a graduate of Coosa Valley Technical College in Rome, and prior to becoming disabled, he was plant manager for Emery Park Corporation. He was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons, and the Georgia Bulldogs. He loved his family dearly and adored his nephews. Fishing was his favorite hobby.

Survivors include his sisters, Divana Hall and Nina Banks and her husband, Doug; sister-in-law, Brenda Moore; and nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral service for Tony Leroy Moore will be conducted Friday, April 5, 2024, at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Pastor Jerry Rice officiating. Tim Jones and Nina Banks will give eulogies. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Timothy Fortenberry, Clinton Moore, Mike Sutherland, Terry Sutherland, Vic Bohannon, Skyler Hall, Cody Banks, and Braydon Banks.

The family will receive friends Friday between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
