Timmy Ross (Waldo) Mathews

Timmy Ross (Waldo) Mathews, 60, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on January 13, 2026. He was born in Canton, Georgia, on March 25, 1965, to the late Homer and Geraldine Mathews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Mathews, James Mathews, Charles Mathews, and Randy Mathews; sister, Sybil Mathews Crider; sister-in-law, Patricia Mathews.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Teresa Mathews; sons, Nicholas Mathews and Andrew Mathews; brothers, Donald (Deborah) Mathews, and Gary (Sherry) Mathews; sisters, Sandra (David) Burch, Karen (Tony) Cannon, Beverly Burch; sisters-in-law, Ann Mathews, and Cheryle Mathews; brother-in-law, Steve Crider; grandchildren, Josh Johnson Mathews, Railyn Mathews, Rikki Mathews, Jackson Mathews, Gabriel Mathews; nephews, Casey Mathews, Jason Mathews, Joseph Mathews, Dr. Steve Crider Jr., Dan Crider, Shannon Mathews, Josh Burch, Spencer Mann, Cameron Mathews; nieces, Kim Smith, Renee Turner, Sonja Bradley, Rachel Burch, Michelle Mann, Harley Cannon; many great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 1:00 PM from Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery in Waleska, Georgia. Pallbearers serving are Josh Johnson, Railyn Mathews, Andrew Mathews, Josh Burch, Justin DeLong, and Roger Mulkey. Honorary pallbearers are David Burch, James Dockery, Joseph Mathews, and David Sanfford.
