Terry Gene Parker

Mr. Terry Gene Parker, age 46 of Calhoun, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth. He was born in Floyd County on March 16, 1961, son of the late Freeman Parker and Ola Mae Cowart Parker of Calhoun, and was preceded in death his wife, Linda Gail Parker. Terry was self-employed in the carpet industry.

Survivors include two sons, Corey Parker and Jeremy Cromer, both of Calhoun; his mother, Ola Mae Parker of Calhoun; a sister, Diane Parker of Calhoun; and two grandchildren, Jason and Alexis Cromer of Calhoun. He is also survived by special caregivers, Steven and Gail Parris, and a special friend, Robert Watkins.

Funeral services for Terry Parker will be conducted Tuesday, April 24, at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Brannon and Rev. Richard Petty officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery at Sonoraville. Pallbearers serving will include Steve Parris, William Dockery, Jr., William Dockery, Sr., Jeff Cromer, David Sund, and B.J. Sund. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Tuesday at 1:15pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday after 5:00pm.
