Terri Weaver McCoy, 63, of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026, after a very surprising and brief battle with cancer.

She is a graduate of Hansen Memorial High School in Franklin, La, and received her Nursing degree from Chattanooga State.
Terri was preceded in death by her parents, Terrance Weaver and Brenda Robicheaux Young.
She is survived by her two sons, John Thatcher Jr. (Samantha) of Calhoun, Ga, and Ryan Thatcher (Nichole) of Rossville, Ga; her former husband and father of her boys, John Thatcher Sr. (Tammy); her sisters, Rhonda Weaver Stovall (Roy) and Tonya Cooke (Kevin) both of Louisiana; and her grandchildren, Isabella and Rhett Thatcher of Calhoun, Ga.
Terri will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her love for her grandchildren and her grand-cat, Dobbs, and her outgoing sense of humor. She loved to gather with family to enjoy each other and laugh.
Per Terri's wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no formal service.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Tammy Thatcher for the love and care shown to her and her boys during this unexpected journey.
