Teresa Darlene Evans

Teresa Darlene Evans, 67, of Calhoun, Georgia, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 2, 2023. She was born in Dalton, Georgia on July 5, 1955, to the late Robert Helton and Betty Joe Capehart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Evans; grandparents, Rev. James R. and Edna M. Capehart; uncle and aunt, Rev. Paul and Daisy Dedmond.

She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, David Eugene Evans; daughters and sons-in-law, Jami Patterson, Jenifer and Joseph Henderson, Olivia and John Roberts III, Adam Patterson; brother, Robert Helton; sisters, Shanda Swanson and Missy May; grandchildren, Alexis Patterson, Ryan (Stephanie) Yielding, John (LeAnna) Roberts IV, Sean Creese, Corey Creese, Isaac Henderson; great-grandchild, Damien Yielding.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023, at 1:00 PM from Sugar Valley Church of God, located at 100 Pocket Rd NW, Sugar Valley, Georgia 30746, with Rev. Joseph D Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 77 Hackett Rd Tunnel Hill, Georgia 30755. Pallbearers serving are John B. Roberts IV, Isaac J. Henderson, Sean M. Creese, Adam Patterson, John B. Roberts III, and Corey M. Creese. Honorary pallbearers are Christopher Capehart and Curt Thomason.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 6, from 12 Noon until 1:00 PM at Sugar Valley Church of God.
