Teddy "Ted" Jesse Dutton

Teddy “Ted” Jesse Dutton, 85, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023. He was born on May 23, 1938, to the late Jess Jerry and Edna Arlean Dutton. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Charles Jack Dutton, George Melvin Dutton, Paul Buddy Dutton, Sonny Maurice Dutton, Donald Jess Dutton, Jimmie Ray Dutton, and Ester Mae Dutton.

Ted proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Oostanaula Baptist Church for 61 years and a deacon of the church. He retired from General Electric.

Ted is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Shirley Maxine Dutton; and a brother, John Eddy Dutton.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Oostanaula Baptist Church.

The funeral service will follow on Wednesday at 2:00 PM from Oostanaula Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Langston and Rev. Lamar Bearden officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Ted’s nephews will serve as pallbearers.
