Obituary

Mrs. Tamer Mulkey Young, 91, of the Taylor Town Community, Ranger, Georgia died Wednesday evening at AdventHealth-Gordon.
Tamer was born in Pickens County, Georgia on January 17, 1930, daughter of the late Oliver "Odd Mulkey and Jane Chastain Mulkey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Young; two sons, Donny Young and Danny Young; three daughters, Brenda (Bruce) Gilbert, Linda Silvers and Sandra Hamrick; two brothers, Lee Mulkey, and Wylie Mulkey. Special friend, Rethie Townsend. She loved her family and was a member of Black Knob Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Jo Brown and her husband Jimmy, son-in-law, Donald Silvers, grandchildren, Kisha McCoy, Jennifer Spurling, Katie Young, Paula Wheaton, Anthony, Jeremy and James Brown, Lamar, William and Cully Gilfoil, Jimmy Joe and Gary Gilbert; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Childers, Coy Mulkey, Ab Mulkey, and Ed Mulkey; a host of nieces, nephews, special niece, Glenda Hendricks and other relatives.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, June13th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Delmer Ledford officiating. Pallbearers serving include the grandsons. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery near Ludville.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 12th between the hours of 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
