Steven Paul Kephart Jr.

Steven Paul Kephart Jr., 49, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026. He was born on November 1, 1976, to Steven Paul Kephart Sr. and the late Carolyn Fradette.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his children, Taylor Kephart (Lacey), Donald Sheppard (Hailey), and Alexandria Smith (Joseph); brother, Chris Cartwright (Melissa); grandchildren, Taitlynn and Remington Garland, Noah, Colton, and Naomi Smith, Rowan and Grayson Kephart, Bristol and Brinley Sheppard; other survivors are Brianna Ellis, Kaily Brannon, Kayla Brannon, and Emily Brannon.

One of Steven’s favorite quotes was “I ain’t here for a long time, I’m just here for a good time.” He never fell short of it. He was always the life of the party. To know him was to love him.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM from Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Warriner officiating. Pallbearers are Chris Cartwright, Taylor Kephart, Joseph Smith, Donald Sheppard, Forrest Bates, and Chad Teal. Honorary pallbearers are Steven Parker, Allen Short, Tyler Brannon, Austin Young, and Mark Ellis.
