Obituary

Steve Anthony Smith, 65 of Calhoun, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. He was born on November 21, 1956 to the late Troy and Ethel Jackson Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Don Smith, Charles Smith, Frank Smith, and Larry Smith; one sister, Glenda Fowler.
He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Pamela Jean Smith; son, Kris (Mandy) Smith; daughter, Stephanie (Kim) Smith-Jones; stepsons, James Casey, Stewart Casey; stepdaughter, Sabra (Daniel) Forde; grandchildren, Noah Lowery, Abigail Lowery, Jaxson Smith-Jones; sister, Connie Duncan.
Steve retired from Foam Products after forty years of service. He loved his Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons, and NASCAR. He enjoyed working on his classic cars and spoiling his grandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Dwaine Shadix officiating. Burial will follow at Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Pallbearers serving are Anthony Smith, Titus Smith, Scott Kittrell, Nick Kittrell, Daniel Forde, and Ike Duncan. Asa Smith will serve as honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 30, 2022, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
