Starlin Russell 'Rusty' Parr

Obituary

Starlin Russell "Rusty" Parr, 67, of Resaca, Georgia died Tuesday, August 10, 2021, after several years of declining health. He was born on December 4, 1953, in Gordon County, GA to the late Daniel C. Parr Jr. and Emma Jo Harris Parr.
Rusty was employed by Astro Dye for 32 years and employed by Mohawk for 17 years. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Dianne Parr; sons and daughter-in-law, Shane(Shawn)Parr and Seth Parr; grandchildren, Rylie Parr and Chapel Parr; sisters and brother-in-law, Mona Parr Kirby and Betty Joan (Johnny) McDaniel; niece and nephews, Rebecca Stegall, Rhett Kirby, and Dathan McDaniel; sister-in-law, Betty Caylor.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 13, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Trinity Baptist Church.
The funeral will be conducted on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11:00 am from Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Adair and Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Burial will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are, Joey Henderson, Adam Patterson, Matthew Hughey, Kenny Owen, Bruce Walraven, Ronnie Chitwood, and Patrick Douglas.
