Shirley Ann Pratt

Shirley Ann Pressley Pratt, 82, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at her residence following a brief illness.

Mrs. Pratt was born in Cartersville, Georgia, the daughter of the late Emmett Pressley and Eva Strickland Pressley. She grew up in Kingston, Georgia, before moving to Calhoun. She graduated from Cassville High School and worked as a server for 40 years at Betty & Earls Restaurant, Johnny’s Restaurant, and The Hickory House. She was an avid Braves fan and loved listening to Southern Gospel Music. She was a Christian and loved her Lord.

Survivors include her daughter, Sherry Childers; grandchildren, Nicole and Scott Marshall, Tabitha, and Kenneth Burchfield; great-grandchildren, Skyler Delp (Mac Clayton), Jalynn Marshall (Jake Morrow), Caymon Phipps, Marlee Phipps, Jaxon Marshall and Julianne Marshall; sister, Mary Silvers; brothers, Jimmy Pressley (Judy) and, Mike Pressley.

A service to celebrate Shirley Ann Pratt's life will be held on Saturday, April 20th, at 1:00 PM at City of Refuge Church. Pastor Tim Langston will officiate. Scott Marshall and Payton Silvers will arrange the music. 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 20th, from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM at City of Refuge Church.

The family would like to give special thanks to Georgia Hospice Care and the seniors of Calhoun Community Church for their love and support.
