Obituary

Mrs. Shirley Ann "Cagle" Knowles of the Red Bud Community passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022, at AdventHealth Gordon following a period of declining health.
Shirley was born in Calhoun, Georgia on April 27, 1936, to the late Floyd and Bonnie Godfrey Cagle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William "Gary' Knowles in 2022; and a grandson, Adam Knowles in 2021.
Survivors include a daughter, Becky Young of Sugar Valley; son, Keith (Cindy) Knowles of Calhoun; daughter-in-law, Joyce Knowles; grandchildren, Kristy (Harley) Wilson, Jeannie (Alan) Gallman, Anson (Shannon) Knowles, Angel (David Kirkland) Knowles, Aslan (Josh) Dooley, Brian (Bridget) Young; granddaughter-in-law, Hope Knowles; twenty great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Other relatives survive.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Brannon and Rev. Herschel Pierce officiating. Faye Bentley will be in charge of the music. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brian Young, Anson Knowles, John Knowles, Tommy Silvers, Joe Silvers, and Josh Dooley.
The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Mrs. Shirley Ann "Cagle" Knowles.
