Sharon Ann Duke Brock, 79, of Calhoun, Georgia died Thursday, February 3, 2022. She was born on November 24, 1942, in Rome, Georgia to the late Thomas Franklin Duke and Bonnie Mae Swann Duke. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Ward and Jim Tye.
Sharon retired from Syntech Industries. She spent enjoyable years helping raise her grandchildren. She came out of retirement and went back to work at Advent Health Gordon. She was a loving and involved grandmother who called herself Nanny Granny.
She is survived by her son, Scott Ward; daughter and son-in-law, Leticia and Chris Brown; grandchildren, Miranda (Logan) Sutton, Chrissi Brown, Ty Brown, and Kayla Ward; great grandchildren, Maycee Ollis and Aurora Whittemore; sister and brother-in-law, Louise "Nellie" and Wendell "Floyd" White; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Pat Duke; nieces and nephews, Judy (Matt) Bortfeld, Wanda (Cliff) Pelloni, Steve (Kay) Duke, Sonya (Kirt) McDaniel, Danny (Barbara) Kessler, Clayton (Kay) Oneil, Richard (Claudia) White, Kevin White, and Chris (Kim) White.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 6, 2022, from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will follow the visitation at 5:00 pm from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Dudley Meadows officiating. Her Nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
