Ruth Deleen Watters

Ruth Deleen Watters, 76, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026. She was born in Rome, Georgia, on October 24, 1949, to the late John and Joella Snead. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Marquita Pegg; grandson, Christopher Pegg; brother, David Snead.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Doug Watters; sons, Jonathan (Marlette) Pegg, Brandon (Carol) Pegg; brother, Kenneth Snead; sisters, Sheryl Snead Sullins, Teresa (Boyd) Snead McLocklin, Melanie (Barry) Williams; grandchildren, Brandon Barnes, Jessica Daily, Corey Pegg, Kacey Fowler, Jay Pegg, Caitlyn Pegg; several great grandkids and step grandkids also survive.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Barry Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Brad Pegg, John Pegg, Corey Pegg, Corey Allmon, Jay Pegg, and Brandon Barnes.
