Ruby Nell Cudd

Mrs. Ruby Nell Cudd age 64 of the Dews Pond Community; Calhoun, Georgia; died Saturday, September 09, 2006 at her residence following one year of declining health.

Mrs. Cudd was born on February 11, 1942 in Gordon County; daughter of the late Carlis and Odie Mae Cronan Burns. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Eugene Cudd; also by a son, Bobby Eugene Cudd, Jr and by three brothers; Cecil Burns, Gene Burns and Richard Burns. She was a retired employee of Georgia Textile of Calhoun and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Cudd is survived by one daughter; Janet Pankey of Calhoun, Georgia. One sister; Shirley Marvel of Resaca, Georgia. Three brothers; Fred Burns of Plainville, Georgia; William Burns and Tony Burns both of Calhoun, Georgia. One granddaughter; Whitney Pankey. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Nell Cudd will be conducted Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Morrow officiating. Singing will be arranged by the Renewed Trio. Pallbearers serving will include; Steven Cornwell, Elbert Parm, Bruce Cud, Billy Burns, Daniel Marvel and Jon Marvel. Burial will follow in the Gordon Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Sunday during the hours of 5 until 9 p.m.
