Ross Tipps, 85, of Resaca, Georgia passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Plainview, Texas on May 4, 1938, to the late Charles and Lola Tipps. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Susanne Tipps, and
brother, Kenneth Tipps.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Croft Tipps; daughters, Julie (Jonathan) Maddox, Jill (Mark) Miller, JoAnna (Jerry) Mashburn, Rebecca (Nick) Roberts; brothers, Floyd (Nita) Tipps, Bob (Mary) Tipps; sister-in-law, Joyce Tipps; grandchildren, Molly Burrows, Sarah Blasius, JonRoss Maddox, Will Miller, Wyatt Miller, Susanne Mashburn, Griffin Mashburn, Lily Roberts, Luke Roberts; great- grandchildren, Hayden Burrows, Skylar Burrows, Isaac Blasius.
Ross held a Bachelors degree from McMurry University and a Masters Degree from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Wesley Chapel Church with Pastor Al Cunningham officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Griffin Mashburn, Luke Roberts, Will Miller, Wyatt Miller, and JonRoss Maddox.In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wesley Chapel Church.
