Ronnie Lee Stephens

Ronnie Lee Stephens, 65, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.  He was born on May 4, 1958, to the late Grady Lee and Rosie Lee Stephens Edwards.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Stephens and sister, Shelia Gunderson.

He was a graduate of Red Bud School and prior to becoming disabled,  he was employed in funeral service for the following firms, Love Funeral Home in Dalton; Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home in Calhoun; Fred Talley’s Parkview Chapel in Rome. Ronnie enjoyed being around people, especially the elderly, and making people laugh. He was a member of College Street Church of God.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Cory (Megan) Stephens, Eric Gunderson, Christina Gunderson; great-nieces and nephews, Jacob (Jordan) Stephens, Christian Stephens, Jesslyn Stephens, Jeryn Stephens; aunt, Annie Brown; uncles, Harry Lumpkin, Carl Lumpkin; and good friend, Scott Herrod.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 12 Noon until 1:00 PM at College Street Church of God.  A memorial service will follow the visitation at 1:00 PM from College Street Church of God with Pastor Dewayne Smith officiating.
