Obituary

Mr. Ronnie Lee Hunt, 75, a lifelong resident of the Red Bud Community, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022, at his residence.
Ronnie was born in Gordon County, GA on January 29, 1947, the son of the late W.P. and Doris Gaines Hunt. He was a life-long farmer. He loved putting things in the ground and watching them grow. This was his great pleasure. He loved his wife, Gloria to whom he was married for 54 years. He loved and was incredibly proud of his three children. His seven grandchildren were his pride and joy. They were such a bright light in his life and he left an indelible mark upon their lives.
He was a member of the 1965 graduating class of Red Bud High School and served in the Georgia National Guard.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Gloria Treadaway Hunt; two daughters, April Hunt, Misty Hunt Smith and her husband, Heath; one son, Stacy Hunt and his wife Julie; grandchildren, Caleb Hunt, Colby Smith, Braden Smith, Emily Smith, Amelia Hunt, Allison Hunt, Paul Hunt; sisters, Benita Hunt Erwin and her husband Danny and Pam Hunt; nephews and other relatives also survive.
A service to celebrate the life of Ronnie Lee Hunt will be conducted Sunday, April 3rd, at 3:00 PM from Meadowdale Baptist Church with Rev. Jamey Hunt and Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include, Monte Erwin, Caleb Hunt, Colby Smith, Braden Smith, James Stokes, Scotty Welch, and Mark Gilbert. Honorary pallbearers serving will include, Jeff Erwin, Danny Erwin, Carter Swancy, Greg Weaver, Johnny Frix, Earnest Gentry, L.C. Davis and Jerry Treadaway.
The family will receive friends Saturday, April 2nd. Between the hours of 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home. The body will be placed in state at Meadowdale Baptist Church on Sunday, April 3rd at 1:30 PM until the service hour of 3:00 PM.
