Roger Dale Peace Sr.

Mr. Roger Dale Peace Sr, 74 of Calhoun, Georgia passed away Monday, September 7, 2026, at Erlanger Medical Center following a brief illness.

Roger was born in Calhoun, Georgia on October 1, 1951, the son of the late Ralph and Emma Wilson Peace. He was a lifelong resident of Gordon County, attended Red Bud School and Calhoun City School. He loved his family dearly, and for most of his adult life enjoyed working on, rebuilding, and painting automobiles, especially the classics.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Murphy Peace; three daughters, Gay Little (Charley), Angie Helton (Eric), and Cathy Keeter (Shawn); son, Roger Dale Peace Jr (Amy); grandchildren, Megan Stansell (Keith), Erica White (Jessie), Kaylee Helton (Kolton), Bryson Peace (Cassidy), Gavyn Peace (Maliyah), Morgan Wheeler, Izzy McBee, Bryce Turner (Kristy), and Garrett Turner (Karli); great grandchildren include Emily, Chandler, Grayson, Paisleigh, Halston, Hank, Kaycen, Taylon, and Stetson; brother, Rev. Larry Peace, along with other relatives.

Funeral arrangements for Mr. Roger Dale Peace Sr will be held Thursday, September 10th at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Winfred Casey, Rev. Roger Peace Jr., and Rev. Brandon Bishop officiating. Honorary pallbearers include Bryson Peace, Gavyn Peace, Jessie White, Kolton Casey, and Keith Stansell.

The family will receive friends Thursday, September 10th from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home. Because there will be no graveside service, the family invites you to honor Roger’s memory by giving house plants or by making a heartfelt donation to the Mission Ministry at New Town Baptist Church.
