Roger Kevin McEntire, 70, of Sugar Valley, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Calhoun, Georgia, on February 29, 1956, to the late Paul and Ella Louise McEnitre. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Atlas McEntire.
He is survived by his daughters, Marla McEntire (Dawson Sloan) and Lacey McEntire (Austin Roberson); brother, Bob McEntire; sister, Melea (Johnny) Harkins; great-aunt, Peggy McEntire; nieces, nephews, cousins, and his good dog Rebel also survive.
Kevin had a quiet kindness about him. He was always there for his friends and family and would help any way that he could. He enjoyed trips to the beach, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his family sitting by a fire listening to classic rock. He worked for the City of Calhoun for 46 years, ending his career as Public Works Director. The family would like to thank all his friends and family for the outpouring of love and support they have received during this difficult time.
To honor his wishes, his body was cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date.
