Obituary

Mr. Rodney Brian Talley, 53, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022, in Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Talley was born in Floyd County, Georgia on April 12, 1968, the son of Martha Tate Talley and the late Vernon Talley. He was a member of the 1987 graduating class of Calhoun High School. Prior to retirement, he was employed by the Gordon County Board of Education in the transportation department. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he was pianist.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Marie Black Talley to whom he was married for 29 years; two daughters, Brooke Talley Green and her husband, Chase, and Brianna Talley; two brothers, Randall Talley and his wife Connie, Kevin Talley and his wife Amber; brother-in-law, Jimmy Black; sisters-in-law, Valerie Burchfield (Chris), Sara Holbert (Russ), Tabitha Gallman (Jeff) and Jan Burchett (Rex); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jimmy and Mary Black; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
A service to celebrate the life of Rodney Brian Talley will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Donny Matilla, Rev. George Gray, Rev. Delmar Davenport, and Rev. Bobby Green officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include, Jordan Talley, Noah Talley, Nathan Holbert, Benjamin Gallman, Cody Stanley, and Caleb Stanley.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, March 21st between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM
