Robert Ray Darnell

Robert “Bobby” Ray Darnell, 90, of the Plainview community, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. He was born in Gordon County on May 2, 1932, to the late John and Mary West Darnell.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ann Moore Darnell; daughter Sharon Renee Darnell and her fiancé Jason Roberts; granddaughter, Adrienne Renee Worley; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Bobby worked as a cable technician for Bell South for 36 years. He was a farmer, a well known cattleman, and a poultry producer. He was a member emeritus of the Sonora Masonic Lodge #221 F & AM and a member of the York Rite.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 13, 2023, from Chandler Cemetery with Rev. Bryan Reeves officiating.
