Robert Lee (Bob) Dilbeck, 71, of Calhoun, Georgia died Thursday, June 17, 2021. He was born on September 27, 1949, in Calhoun, Georgia to the late Earl and Mary Lou Clark Dilbeck. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Linda Lee Dilbeck; brother, John Dilbeck.
He was in the United States Navy for 22 years. He was a member of the American Legion and was an avid golfer. He was a Georgia Bulldog fan. He was a member of West Union Baptist Church and spent 28 years at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Lisa Corn; daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Justin Hackney and Jessica and Chad Guess; sisters and brother-in-law, Marilyn Hefner, Janice Dilbeck, and Karen and Rickey Braden; grandchildren, Brittney Carmack, Logan Guess, Haley Sturgill, Maggie Guess, Emmy Hunter, and Shelbie Guess; great grandchildren, Brayden and Kylee Carmack; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 20, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be conducted on Monday, June 21, 2021 at 12:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Ryo Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Logan Guess, Caleb Hefner, Jeremy Tinch, Wayne Rogers, Jerry Fuller, and Lamar Whittenburg.
