Ricky Randall Cronon (Flash), 66, of Plainville, GA, peacefully passed away on October 23, 2025, after complications from surgery, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on June 16, 1959, in Gordon County, Georgia, to the late Lester Cronon and Mana Hall Cronon. Prior to retirement, he was the owner of a heavy equipment construction business for many years and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. He frequently traveled and worked on jobs across the country, making many lifelong friends along the way. His most meaningful work, however, was helping construct a church in Mexico with members of Meadowdale Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Cronon Harkins.
He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife, Teresa Patton Cronon, who he shared 43 wonderful years with; daughter, Haley Sullivan, and her spouse, Eric Sullivan; daughter, Ryann Preece; grandchildren, Sophie Sullivan and Jake Preece; sister, Katherine Bowman; brother, Jeff Cronon; aunt, Ida Cronon; uncles, Larry and Harold Cronon; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. He leaves behind many more cherished friends and extended family who deeply loved him.
A celebration to honor Ricky’s life will be held in December. More details will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Ricky’s memory to Best Friends Animal Society or an animal shelter or rescue of your choosing.
The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Ricky Randall Cronon.
