Richard Stanley Mattiford

Mr. Richard Stanley Mattiford, age 68 of Calhoun, Georgia, died Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at Redmond Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mr. Mattiford was born on April 05, 1938 in Upland, PA,son of the late Ralph Bickling Mattiford and Julia Kaminski Mattiford. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ann Hall Mattiford on February 24, 1997. During his lifetime, Mr. Mattiford served his country with the United States Army and returned home where he later became a Computer Analyst. Mr. Mattiford was a member of the College Street Church of God.

Survivors are three daughters; Lynn Maloney and her husband, Charles of Shannon, Georgia; Denise Greeson and her husband, Byron of Calhoun, Georgia; Darlene Daniel and Darrell Byrd of Tennessee. One son; Rev. Kenny Sheriff and his wife, Sharon of Calhoun, Georgia. One sister; Gerry McBride of Essington, PA. Two brothers; William Mattiford and his wife, Diane of Exton, PA, James Mattiford and his wife, Mary Beth of Boothwyn, PA. Special friend; Joyce Owen, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Richard Stanley Mattiford will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the College Street Church of God with Rev. Kenny Sheriff and Pastor Donald Lee officiating. Singing will be arranged by Mrs. Sharon Sheriff. Active pallbearers serving will include; Brandon Maloney, Charles Wyatt, Darrell Byrd, Byron Greeson, Michael Strickland and Wilburn Aker. Charles Maloney, William Mattiford, James Mattiford and Joe Battaglia will serve as honorary pallbearers. Burial with full military honors will follow the service at Haven of Rest Memorial Park Cemetery.
