Richard Jones

Richard Jones, 78, of Adairsville, Georgia, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024. He was born in Rome, Georgia, on July 25, 1946, to the late Will Jones Sr. and Fannie McClure Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sister-in-law, Will Jones Jr., Charles and Mary Jones, Phillip Jones, Earnest Jones, Ed Mitchell; and sister, Diola Primus. 

Richard served his country in the United States Army. Though he is no longer with us, Richard’s legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Asenath Jones; son, Bryan; daughters and son-in-law, Lisa M., Cheryl E. LaBord and Ollie James LaBord Jr., Dawn Jennifer, Brandi Cassandra; brother and sister-in-law, Robert “Bobby” and Judy Jones; sisters-in-law, Artilla Jones, Sarah Jones, and Carolyn Jones; grandchildren, Claudia, Cameron, Ashton, Alexis, Reemond, Avian, Braydon; and great-granddaughter, Kalani. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives survive. 

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with the United States Honor Guard conducting military honors. 

To honor Richard’s wishes, his body was cremated and no repast will follow.
