Rebecca “Beckey” Sue Moore, 71, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026. She was born in Piedmont, Alabama, on January 14, 1955, to the late Dewey and Adill Lyles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Franklin “Cooter” Moore; son, Donny Moore; siblings, Jimmy (Becky) Rhodes, Roy (Eva) Lyles, Timmy Lyles; brothers-in-law, Glenn Moore and Howard Strickland; sister-in-law, Elsie (Robert) Fain; grandson, Daniel Moore.

She is survived by her son, Gary (Wanda) Moore; daughter, Kimberly (Matt) Hedrick; brother, Roger (Elane Mallett) Lyles; sisters, Anna Moore, Idema Strickland; sister-in-law, Diane Lyles; grandchildren, Emma Hedrick, Joshua Hedrick, Tiffany Moore; step-grandchildren, Whitney (Adam) Williams, Travis (Jessica) Newberry; great-grandchildren, Dakota Martin, Nevaeh Martin, Riley Jones, DJ Martin, Adam Williams Jr; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Beckey loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was an excellent cook and made the best biscuits and chicken and dressing. She loved to laugh and enjoyed watching NASCAR races.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Hank Hedrick officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Timmy Lyles, Travis Lyles, Blade Lyles, Jimmy McRee, Ethan McRee, and Tim Heyworth. Honorary pallbearers are Austin Wilson, Duck O’Neal, Brian Lyles, Phoenix Christian, and Edward Gowens.

The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Rebecca “Beckey” Sue Moore.
